The Temporary Power Line Installation located between Macleod Townsite and the Mosher shaft continues to progress well. The new power line can be seen on the right near the existing Hydro One Main line. The Temporary Power Line Installation construction will continue this week with the installation of power line poles between the Mosher Shaft and the future Plant Site Access Road along Highway 11. Upon completion, the Temporary Power Line Installation will distribute power to each project area during the construction phase.

Planned activities for the week of July 19th include continuing to advance the Early Earth Works, the construction of the Temporary Power Line Installation and Temporary Feed Pond, the East Service Road and the Temporary Plant Site Access roads along with the installation of modules and High Density Polyethylene membrane and piping.

What's coming next:

The Temporary Effluent Water Treatment Plant (TEWTP) located South of Hardrock Road, includes activities such as electrical and piping work within the TEWTP building as well as fusing the High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) membrane on the Temporary Feed Pond. Early Earth Works in the Kenogamisis Pit located North of Highway 11 behind Between Bridges Inn continues and includes the extraction and crushing of gravel for upcoming construction activities. The erection of lodging facility modules including kitchen modules and interior finishing continues along with fusing the HDPE membrane at the Waste Shelter within the Temporary Lodging Facility pad area located South of Old Arena Road. These activities will cause additional tractor trailer traffic on Highway 584 and Old Arena Road leading to the Temporary Lodging Facility entrance. The East Service Road adjoining Highway 11 and Hardrock Road and the Temporary Plant Site Access Road adjoining Highway 11, past the Greenstone OPP Detachment and across from the Mosher Shaft will continue road construction activities. In addition, the East Service Road will continue with the installation of power lines and will commence fusing the HDPE pipe. The Temporary Power Line Installation construction will continue with the installation of power line poles between the Mosher Shaft and the future Plant Site Access along Highway 11.

The Early Earth Works, Road Construction, the installation of modules, power line poles and HDPE membrane and pipe involve the use of heavy equipment such as: zoom booms, cranes, excavators, bulldozers, tri-axle haul trucks, and loaders. Please be advised of an increase in haul traffic on Highways 11 and 584, the Hardrock Road, Old Arena Road, East Service Road and the Temporary Plant Site Access Road. For health and safety reasons, we wish to caution the general public to limit non-essential traffic within Hardrock Road and the Temporary Effluent Water Treatment Plant area and to follow and obey posted signs across the Project area.

The safety of our employees, contractors and the general public is paramount as we continue to prepare for construction of the Greenstone Mine
